The Greenhouse is the campus’ office suite and co-working space.
Designed for smaller teams and individuals who want to share work space, The Greenhouse offers a range of ready-to-lease spaces and flexible co-work membership options. Key benefits include:
private workspaces from 12sqm - 50sqm for growing teams and small businesses. These spaces would suit teams of two through to teams of 12 people.
co-working spaces for individuals;
a suite of shared amenity including bookable meeting rooms with web meeting tech, a social kitchen, casual break out zones, and access to the ground floor fitness and end-of-trip facilities.
Space for larger teams
We also have 325 square metres of modern space with expansive views ready to occupy on Level 3 of the 100% NBS, 5 Green Star-rated Ngā Toka | Buddle Building.
The floor has a shared kitchenette and meeting rooms already fitted out.
This space can be leased as once tenancy or sub-divided into smaller tenancies. Generous tenant incentive and fit-out packages are available.
Currently a blank canvas with exceptional views across the Hutt Valley and towards the Remutaka Ranges, the Level 3 space can be occupied as is, or futher fitted-out as exemplified by the render of a potential fit-out solution shown above.
Purpose-built space in a growing innovation hub
Located in the heart of Upper Hutt’s expanding science and technology corridor, Blue Mountains Campus offers design-ready options for research, innovation and specialist technical organisations.
Te Papa Biodiversity Research Centre
Nearby in Trentham, the new Te Papa Biodiversity Research Centre — a $155 million state-of-the-art facility — is being developed to preserve and enable research around New Zealand’s globally significant natural history collections.
The campus is also adjacent to MPI’s National Biocontainment Laboratory at Wallaceville, a critical high-containment diagnostic and biosecurity facility protecting New Zealand’s agriculture and trade.
Together, these assets create a scientifically vibrant environment for organisations seeking proximity to research partners, specialist infrastructure and technical talent.
Blue Mountains Campus sits within a thriving local innovation community that also includes the New Zealand Campus of Innovation & Sport, Brewtown, and the growing Wallaceville Estate neighbourhood immediately beside the campus.
National Biocontainment Laboratory
A growing innovation cluster
The campus is already home to a number of specialist organisations spanning technology, research and government, including campus anchors, KiwiRail and MBIE.
New Zealand biotech company Chitogel and international safety and med-tech business Dräger have also both taken space in the stage for their laboratory and calibration operations. IT specialists Silicon Systems Limited, Panasonic, and Biome Trust have all leased office space in this stage, and Dough Bakery is managing the onsite cafe, Grounds.
Research consistently shows that innovation clusters — where organisations co-locate — accelerate collaboration, productivity and knowledge sharing.
The campus is evolving into Wellington’s leading regional innovation hub, bringing together government, industry and emerging technology organisations within a connected and collaborative environment.
Grounds Café, the campus onsite café is now open on Saturdays!
Serving both our valued tenants, and members of the public, Grounds Café offers a range of delicious toasties, pies, scones, sweet treats and beverages in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. It’s also dog friendly.
There are two cafe car parks just inside the main gates, directly across from the cafe and plenty of free street parking. Come and check us out!
Opening hours are:
Tuesday - Friday 7.00am to 2:30pm
